Q. I have seen many photos of Jungwoo with his fanny pack on his  hand.

Jungwoo: Backpacks are big and inconvenient so I just carry around what is necessary in my fanny pack.

Q. What do you usually have inside?

Jungwoo: Contact Lenses, eye drops, nail clippers, mask, band-aid and ointment. Eye drops are a must. When you wear contact lenses for a long time, your eyes will get tired.

Q. What kind of style does Jungwoo enjoy?

Jungwoo: It should be comfortable to begin with. I like to wear a tracksuit and I often hear that normcore look suits me, so I tried to wear items that do not stand out. I do not think flashy/fancy things suit me.

Q. Pardon? But you were dressed in fancy, bold clothes today.

Jungwoo: I am amazed too, I like to try various styles.

Q. What kind of image of yourself that you are pursuing?

Jungwoo: I want to have a dreamlike and bright ambience. I hope when a lot of people see me, they will think I am strange and be curious about it.

Q. Who do you think is really cool?

Jungwoo: Justin Bieber. His style and music have their own distinct color. Not just me, but other members are also a fan too. Yesterday I watched Justin Bieber’s YouTube documentary. In addition to the external stories, I like him more when I saw him overcome the agony and growing pains he experienced as an artist.

Q. Jungwoo, are there any surprising things about you?

Jungwoo: I am a strict person with a lot of effort (hard worker). I do not think I have that much natural talent. I am much more of a person that gets the result as much as the effort. So I try to do everything diligently.

Q. Is anything possible with just effort? Watching NCT’s performance, I think there is more to it than just a practice.

Jungwoo: I have been seeing how other people do it. During a famous American talk show (Jimmy Kimmel Live), when I performed on stage, I looked at the other stage of the program like I was analyzing them. How does the camera work and how it looks on the screen? I learn a lot by doing that.

Q. Jungwoo has an impressive clear voice but I heard he passed the audition with dancing. This is a surprise too.

Jungwoo: When I was an elementary school student, I got interested in dancing after watching music shows. But when I was recording later, the director told me that I have a strange charm, not sure if it is falsetto or not. After hearing that, I made up my mind to show and make my voice a strong point.

Q. What is your favourite track from the album this time?

Jungwoo: There is a song called ‘Pandora’s Box’, when I first heard the guide version, the lyric “Remember us at this moment” really hit me hard. I imagined singing this with the fans later on during the concert, and I think it would be really cool.

Q. When was the most miraculous moment of your life?

Jungwoo: When I joined NCT. It felt  like a dream. I am a person that cries a lot, after our debut performance on a music show, I cried my eyes out. I was happy but sorry at the same time. I remember the memer encouraging me by saying “It is okay, you did well”.

Q. What do you think is your role in the team?

Jungwoo: I think I am a mood maker. I show a lot of slick gags (humor/jokes). Most of them will all laugh. Especially Doyoung hyung, I think our sense of humor matches well.

Q. Other members said Jungwoo has not shown everything yet, it is said he has a variety of aspects.

Jungwoo: It could mean that it is still not sure where I will go (do next), right? I have heard that I am very unique. Should I say that I have a variety of charms? (laughs) I also still don’t know exactly what kind of person I am. 

Q. So, do you like that personality?

Jungwoo: There is only one me in this world. I want “Jungwoo” to be a new genre. New and unique. To be able to do it, I will have to accept what I have and give effort to try to draw the charm out of it.
